"We are all too familiar with the systemic failures within the long-term care industry—facilities where overcrowding and staffing shortages lead to the tragic neglect of our most vulnerable citizens. I have witnessed this devastation firsthand; both my grandmother and my stepfather, a proud Army veteran, suffered under the care of institutions that prioritized occupancy over humanity.

My grandmother entered a facility for her safety following a series of falls, yet within months, she suffered from advanced pressure ulcers and a complete breakdown of basic hygiene. Years later, my stepfather faced similar negligence; during an unannounced wellness check, my mother found him unresponsive in his room, with staff unable to verify his last meal. The situation was further compounded by an orderly attempting to feed him while he was in a non-responsive state.

These experiences were the catalyst for Blue Butterfly. We believe our elders are our most precious assets, deserving of care from professionals who are rigorously vetted and possess both clinical skill and genuine compassion.
